Vol. 234 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Traffic Lights.

19.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for traffic lights and a pedestrian crossing at Goatstown Cross, County Dublin; and if he will ensure that these will be installed as a matter of urgency.

The provision of such devices is the responsibility of the road authority, in this case, Dublin County Council. A request for approval in effect to the financing with the aid of a Road Fund grant of vehicle-actuated traffic lights at this junction has been received in my Department from Dublin County Council and is at present being examined. A decision will be conveyed to the county council as soon as possible.
