I made an order recently approving a purchase scheme for houses in the North Cork area, including the houses referred to by the Deputy. The Labourers Act, 1936, requires compliance with certain statutory requirements, including presentation of the scheme to the Dáil. If it is not annulled within the statutory period of three weeks after presentation, I intend to make an order as required by the Act, declaring a day on which the scheme will come into force.
