Vol. 234 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Withdrawal of Prize Bonds.

47.

asked the Minister for Finance if, having regard to the hardship imposed on poor persons of having to pay 9/6 for a death certificate in order to withdraw from the Bank of Ireland a £5 prize bond formerly held by a deceased relative, he will have steps taken to obviate the need for the production of death certificates in such cases or make special provision for having certificates furnished free of charge.

It would not be possible to accede to either of the suggestions put forward by the Deputy.
