asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state for each of the last three years (a) the total amount in the Road Fund, (b) the amount of borrowings from the Fund, and (c) the amounts from it made available and applied to (i) road building and (ii) other purposes, giving details.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Fund.
As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.
Following is the statement:

Payments for other purposes are made up of—administrative expenses of Department of Local Government, local authorities' expenses of collection and Garda Síochána administrative expenses.
The figures for 1967-68 are subject to audit.
The figures in the last two columns do not add up to the amounts shown in the second column because in each financial year there are small opening and closing balances in the Road Fund.
