Vol. 235 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Expenditure by Irish Tourists.

2.

asked the Taoiseach the total amount expended abroad by Irish tourists in the latest year for which figures are available.

The estimated total expenditure outside the State (including expenditure in the Six Counties and Britain) by Irish residents in 1967 was £30.1 million. This covers expenditure by all categories of visitor to places outside the State and includes personal expenditure by business visitors in addition to that by tourists.
