asked the Minister for Education if he has refused recognition to a Dublin teaching centre (name supplied) for admission to the list of schools approved by him for providing courses in English for foreign students; and, if so, if he will indicate the regulations for recognition which are not being complied with in this case.
Written Answer. - English Courses for Foreign Students.
Admission to the list of schools approved for providing courses in English for foreign students has been refused in the case of a Dublin teaching centre. It is not proposed to enter into discussion of the grounds on which this decision was based.
I asked the Chair if I could raise a matter concerning the need for housing for a married couple. one of whom suffers from kidney tuberculosis, arising out of a question I addressed to the Minister for Local Government. I take it I may proceed?
The Deputy may not raise any question as it is too close to the adjournment of the House. A minimum of an hour and a half is given to a Minister to enable him to contact his officials and prepare for an Adjournment debate. I am sorry but the Deputy cannot raise the matter today.
I will take it up next week.
With the corporation.
