asked the Minister for Transport and Power what plans are in hands for extending the facilities at Shannon and Dublin Airports; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The provision of facilities to meet increasing traffic is a continuous process at Shannon and Dublin airports. Planning is related to expected future conditions. Plans have been prepared for the extension of facilities at both airports to cater for the introduction of very large capacity aircraft. Some of the necessary works are being carried out at present and others will be phased to meet requirements.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether any changes in the administration of the sales and catering section at Shannon Airport are contemplated; and, if so, if he will give details.

No changes in the administration of the sales and catering service are at present proposed.
