Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Customs Post.

60.

asked the Minister for Finance the total cost of providing the new customs frontier post at Kildrum, County Donegal.

The estimated cost of providing a new customs frontier post at Kildrum, County Donegal, is £6,500.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary tell us in what way this has been advertised for contract and how many tenders have been received?

That appears to be a separate question.

I have not these details. They are not requested in the question.

Would it not be reasonable to expect the Deputy to ask these questions?

I would reply if I had the information.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary not familiar with the granting of a contract for the erection of a customs post?

I would draw the Deputy's attention to the way in which he drafted his own question. He asked for the total cost of providing the frontier post and I have given it.

Am I in order in asking how many tenders were received?

Mr. Gibbons

I have not got that information.

Would the Parliamentary Secretary be able to furnish me with the information?

If the Deputy puts down another question.

Would he not accept my supplementary?

Would the Deputy not accept my statement that I have not the information with me?

You should have it.

The Deputy should ask the question he wants to ask.

You have your own Department to look after.

Question No. 61.
