The main gate leading to the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park has been closed since 13th May, 1968. This action was taken following the removal of a signpost which had been erected indicating to tourists and the public generally that there is a motor car entrance to Muckross House and Gardens further along the road.
The Commissioners of Public Works will be happy to re-open the gate as soon as it is clear that interference with facilities provided for the general public will cease.
