Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Drainage Priorities.

67.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the fact that the established priority lists for arterial drainage works were drawn up following the passing of the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945, he intends to revise the priorities in accordance with present-day needs.

At present it is not proposed to revise the established priority lists of major and minor catchments for arterial drainage purposes.

When the Parliamentary Secretary says "At present it is not proposed", does he envisage it may be necessary to do so in the future?

It may be desirable to examine that proposition.
