Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Schools.

70.

asked the Minister for Education the new national schools to be erected in County Donegal during the financial year 1968-69.

There are three national schools in course of erection at present in County Donegal: at Derrybeg, Coolkenny and Downings.

Grants have been sanctioned towards the cost of four other new schools: at Portlean, Carrigart, Killaghtee and Fintown. The Commissioners of Public Works expect to be in a position to invite tenders for the Portlean school at an early date, and they expect that tenders for the Carrigart school will be invited towards the end of the present financial year.

Every effort is being made to bring the arrangements for the Killaghtee and Fintown schools to the stage where tenders for their erection can be invited also within the financial year 1968-69.
