Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rylane (Cork) School Repairs.

71.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware of the urgent need of carrying out repairs to Rylane national school, County Cork; and when these repairs will be carried out.

My Department have already sanctioned a grant towards the cost of having necessary repairs carried out at Rylane National School, County Cork, and of installing flushed sanitation in the school. The execution of the scheme is contingent on the extension of the public water supply to the school. Negotiations are proceeding at local level, and I understand that there is a propect that the water supply will be available in September next. The scheme of improvements will be put in hands immediately the water supply is available.
