Vol. 235 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry River Flooding.

94.

asked the Minister for Lands if his Department will arrange a grant for clearing and deepening the Dirreen river at Aghatubrid, Killarney, County Kerry which is flooding the entire valley.

This is not a matter which comes within the normal functions of the Land Commission. Generally, expenditure on drainage is confined to such works as are considered essential to facilitate the distribution of lands acquired by the Land Commission for purposes of structural reform.
