Vol. 235 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Cottages.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that Kerry County Council submitted a proposal to his Department some time ago for approval to erect 40 single rural cottages; and, if so, if he will state the cause of the delay in giving the necessary approval.

Building proposals have been submitted to my Department by Kerry County Council for a total of 25 single rural cottages and are at present under consideration. My Department has been in correspondence with the council regarding a number of these cottages and additional technical data have been requested in some cases. A decision on the proposals will be given by me as quickly as possible.
