Vol. 235 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Grand Canal.

1.

(Dublin South-Central) asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will consider introducing legislation to permit the closure of the Grand Canal between Suir Road Bridge and James's Street Harbour, Dublin, as this section is no longer being used to any great extent and is a constant danger to children from Fatima Mansion Flats and other dwellings along its banks.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question on 4th July, 1967, and to replies by the Minister for Local Government on 18th May, 1967 and 20th February, 1968.
