Vol. 235 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Wicklow Telephone.

11.

andDr. O'Connell asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will ensure that the present public telephone in Glenealy, County Wicklow is available on a 24-hour basis.

Public telephone facilities on a 24-hour basis are available only from kiosks. As I stated in reply to a recent question a kiosk is not warranted at Glenealy. The public telephone at Glenealy post office is available between 9 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on weekdays. I am advised that the sub-postmistress allows local people to make emergency calls at all times.
