Vol. 235 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Cheese to Britain.

17.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware of any proposals by the British Government to impose restrictions, whether by way of quota or otherwise, on the imports of Irish cheese to Britain; and, if so, if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have not received any such proposals, which would be a matter for consultation in accordance with the provisions of the Anglo-Irish Free Trade Area Agreement.
