Committee on Finance. - Performers' Protection Bill, 1968: From the Seanad.

The Dáil went into Committee to consider amendments from the Seanad.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 1:

Section 2: In subsection (4), lines 48 and 49, "being a performance" deleted and "the performance is one" substituted.

Nos. 1 and 2 may be taken together, as they are cognate amendments.

Amendment agreed to.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 2:

Section 3: In subsection (4), line 49, "being a performance" deleted and "the performance is one" substituted.

Amendment agreed to.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 3:

Section 12: A new subsection added to the section as follows:

"( ) Every order made under this section shall be laid before each House of the Oireachtas as soon as may be after it is made, and if a resolution annulling the order is passed by either House within the next twenty-one days on which that House has sat after the order has been laid before it, the order shall be annulled accordingly, but without prejudice to the validity of anything previously done thereunder."
