Vol. 235 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Atlantic Crossing Stamp.

11.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will issue a special stamp in 1969 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Alcock and Brown's first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic by aeroplane and their landing in Clifden, County Galway.

It will not be feasible to issue a special stamp to commemorate this event because of other subjects to which it will be necessary to give precedence in the programme for next year.
