Vol. 235 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway Fishery Harbour.

16.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will explain the reasons for the delay in proceeding with the major fishery harbour in Galway; and whether there are any further obstacles in the way of this development.

The way is now clear for this development and work can be commenced as soon as the necessary funds are made available under the capital programme.

Can the Minister state when the necessary funds will be made available?

I will do that in due course, too.

That is not a straight answer to a straight question.

It is an answer similar to the question.

The Minister has been hedging about that a long time.

There is no hedging. We have the law there now.

Pie in the sky is no good to the people there.

There is no need for Fine Gael so.

There is a similar story in Donegal.

Do not worry about that one. The Deputy may get a surprise there.
