Vol. 235 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry IDA Office.

41.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will consider siting one of the regional offices of the Industrial Development Authority in Kenmare, County Kerry which is an ideal centre to serve both West Cork and South Kerry.

Decisions as to the number and location of the regional offices of the Industrial Development Authority must await the outcome of the Regional Planning Studies at present in progress under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963.

I can assure the Deputy that all relevant factors in relation to Kenmare and other towns will be taken into account in arriving at the decisions.
