asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the applications for increase in prices which are at present with his Department.

My Department have under investigation at present about one hundred notifications of proposals to increase prices. It would be contrary to normal practice to disclose details of these notifications.

44.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of increases in prices and charges which have been made with his sanction during the month of April, 1968.

During the month of April, 1968, I indicated in 22 cases that I did not object to certain increases in prices or charges.
