Vol. 236 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Lamb Subsidy.

14.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if, in view of the fact that in some parts of the country sheep farmers are accustomed to sell off lambs in the latter part of July, he will consider bringing forward the date of commencement of payments of the lamb subsidy to the 15th July, 1968.

Only lambs from mountain flocks are eligible for payment of subsidy and very few of these lambs would be ready for inspection by mid-July as suggested by the Deputy.
