Vol. 236 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Housing Applications.

7.

asked the Minister for Local Government the total number of applications for new houses at present with Limerick Corporation; and the plans in hands at present for dealing with the demand for houses in Limerick.

I am informed by Limerick Corporation that there are 595 applicants on their approved waiting list at present; that they have work in progress on 808 dwellings; that plans are being prepared by them for 678 dwellings for which sites are already available; and that steps are being taken by them to acquire land for a further 750 dwellings.
