Vol. 236 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Old Age Pensions.

58.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he is considering the granting of old age pensions at 65 years of age; and, if so, if he has any plans to extend pensions to such persons this year.

The answer to the first part of the Deputy's question is in the affirmative, but in this connection I would refer him to my reply to a similar question asked by Deputy Andrews on 14th February, 1968.

The answer to the second part is in the negative.
