asked the Minister for Lands the number of forestry and Land Commission employees to whom redundancy benefit has been paid by (a) lump sum and (b) weekly payments; and the total amount paid in each case.

: Fifty-nine forestry workers and four Land Commission workers have been paid redundancy benefits in the form of a lump sum up to 9th July, 1968. The total amounts involved are £5,128 11s 1d and £368 14s 10d respectively.

The information required at (b) of the Deputy's question is being compiled by the Department of Labour and will be forwarded to the Deputy in due course.
