A proposal for the purchase of an area of 31 acres at Clondalkin for recreation purposes was submitted to me for sanction by Dublin County Council on 11th June, 1968. A decision on the proposal will be made in the very near future.
Is the Minister aware of all the difficulties the county council experienced in getting this land and of the urgent need for it in such a large community as Clondalkin? Would he convey that point to the Minister for Local Government?
I would say that that is fully appreciated in the Department and by the Minister.
