Vol. 236 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Geashill (Offaly) School.

5.

asked the Minister for Finance when it is proposed to erect the new national school at Geashill, County Offaly; and if he will make a statement in regard to the delay in this case.

The plans and specification for this new school are in course of preparation and tenders will be invited in about two months.

Due to the heavy school building programme and the difficulty of recruiting and retraining professional staff it was not possible to have the case dealt with earlier.
