It is proposed to take Nos. 1, 3, 6 (Votes 34, 35, 36, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25); Questions at 2.30 p.m.
Order of Business.
Can the Taoiseach tell the House when it is intended to move the writ for the by-election in Wexford?
I cannot tell the House that now.
Does the Taoiseach anticipate that the by-election will take place before Christmas?
I cannot give an indication at this stage.
Will the Taoiseach be able to tell us next week?
I do not know. The Deputy can ask next week and see.
I can keep asking. It is only fair that there should be an indication from the Government Party as to when the by-election will be held.
I will consider it.
I should like with your permission to raise on the Adjournment the matter of the unjustifiable delay in providing ESB supply to houses situated on the fringe of Dublin airport with the result that the families concerned are compelled to make use of oil lamps for domestic light.
The Chair will communicate with the Deputy.
