I understand that the Foxford area, County Mayo, is one of a number of areas where the quality of television reception is below the normal standard. The improvement of reception is a matter for Radio Telefís Éireann. The Authority proposes to erect a transposer on a site north-west of Castlebar which will serve a number of areas in Mayo including Foxford. I understand that it will be about a year before this transposer will be in operation.
