asked the Minister for Health if he will name the nursing homes and other establishments in which geriatric patients are received in Cork city, giving in each case the amount of the grant paid by State or local sources in respect of patients maintained in such establishments; and if he will make a statement on the differential, if any, which exists between the amounts of such grants.

I have approved of the following nursing homes and establishments in Cork City for the reception of geriatric patients:—

The higher rate is applied to establishments where acute cases are dealt with while the lower rate applies to establishments dealing with chronic cases.
