Vol. 236 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - School Transport.

57.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Education if he will consider allowing national school children, within the three mile limit of their national school, access on a paying or non-paying basis to post-primary buses where there is adequate accommodation.

Primary school pupils who are ineligible for free transport by reason of age or distance may be carried on a fare-paying basis on post-primary school transport provided there are seats available and that they are taken to the primary school which they would normally attend. They may not be carried free.
