I am aware that there is a problem of the kind mentioned by the Deputy in his question and to meet it I had certain provisions included in the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provision) Act, which was enacted earlier this year. The Deputy will find them in sections 9 and 10 of the Act. These provisions will come into operation on the 3rd January, 1969.
