Vol. 236 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dispensary Doctors.

103.

asked the Minister for Health the number of dispensary doctors employed by Dublin Health Authority in each of the past three years.

The number of district medical officers employed by Dublin Health Authority at 30th September in each of the past three years is as follows:— 1966, 78; 1967, 80; 1968, 83.

Would I be right in saying that the Minister is not right in that statement? In a Parliamentary question yesterday or the day before he said there were 62 medical officers employed by the Dublin Health Authority.

I think that was in the city of Dublin.

The figure for the Dublin Health Authority was 62.

No, I do not think so. The answer I gave certainly was 62 but I think that referred to the city of Dublin and not to the Dublin Health Authority.

I thought it was the Authority.

I have not got the answer here.

Will the Minister look into that?

The figures are 78, 80 and 83. I think the question I answered the other day related to the city.

The answer I got was 62. There is now a difference of 21.
