Vol. 236 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Discussions with British Foreign Secretary.

15.

asked the Taoiseach if, in his recent meeting with the British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Stewart, he discussed the Nigerian-Biafran conflict, the war in Vietnam or any other aspect of foreign policy.

My primary purpose in calling on the British Foreign Secretary, Mr. Stewart, was to meet him on his assumption of Ministerial responsibility for relations with Ireland following the amalgamation of the Foreign Office and the Commonwealth Office. I had a general discussion with him on world affairs which included the Nigerian conflict and the war in Vietnam.
