Vol. 236 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Off-season Tourist Traffic.

14.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will give a progress report on the effort to encourage off-season tourist traffic; and whether a change in policy is contemplated.

I am informed by Bord Fáilte that it has always been the Board's policy to work towards an extension of the traditional tourist season. There is no change in this policy, but more emphasis is now being placed on year-round tourism. Information about progress towards this objective was given in the Board's annual report for 1967-68 and earlier years and corresponding information will be included in future reports.
