A fund of the kind which the Deputy has in mind is already in existence. This fund, called Ciste Cholmcille, is administered by An Chomhairle Ealaíon and out of it are paid annuities to creative artists who are advanced in years or who, by reason of ill-health, are unable any longer to fend for themselves.
