The tenders received for the project referred to by the Deputy are at present the subject of correspondence between my Department and the local authority. The council were asked in August last to submit the tenders, together with a report thereon, from the appropriate technical officer. When a reply is received no undue delay should occur in giving a decision in the matter. I could not, however, forecast at this stage when the work is likely to commence.
