Vol. 236 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Forestry Lands.

132.

asked the Minister for Lands if there are any extra lands at his disposal in the Glencar, Killorglin area, County Kerry for forestry purposes; and if he intends to purchase any more land in order to facilitate the present forestry workers there.

The Forestry Division has at present a plantable reserve of 163 acres at Killorglin forest of which 70 acres are available for planting in the Glencar area. In this as in other areas throughout the country my Department would be glad to acquire additional land for planting and are making every effort to do so.
