Vol. 237 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Telephone Applicants.

24.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of applicants at present awaiting telephones in Dublin city; and the average length of time for installation.

The number of applications on hands for telephones in the Dublin Exchange area which comprises Dublin city and county and portions of Counties Kildare, Meath and Wicklow, is 3,310. Some 700 of these are in course of provision and it is expected that the bulk of the remainder will be quoted terms within the next three or four months.

The average length of time for installation is about three months.
