Vol. 237 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Directory.

25.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the date (1) on which the 1969 telephone directory will be published and (2) up to which entries were accepted for the main portions and supplemental portion thereof respectively; and whether he will issue a further supplement mid 1969 for changed and new numbers too late for insertion in the normal supplement.

(1) It is planned to begin delivery of the 1969 Telephone Directory in January, 1969. (2) The final dates for acceptance of entries for the directory varied according to whether the entry was in Part I or Part II, and within the two parts according to alphabetical order. The final dates for Part I varied from early June to mid-July, and for Part II from the beginning to the end of May; and for the Supplement the last date was 1st August. The question of issuing a further Supplement in mid 1969 will receive consideration.

I may add that the possibility of reducing the period between latest dates for inclusion of entries and publication of the 1970 Directory is being examined.

Will the directory be in one volume?
