Annual particulars of the type requested by the Deputy are not available. To derive reliable estimates it is necessary to have a detailed input-output table showing the economic flows between different industries and sectors. Using a condensed version of such a table prepared for the year 1964 it has been estimated that the total import content, direct and indirect, of all domestic exports in that year was about one-quarter. Corresponding estimates for later years are not available.
