Vol. 237 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Supply of Maps.

10.

asked the Minister for Finance why the Government Publications Sale Office and the Ordnance Survey Office are unable to supply to the public on demand maps of Dublin city showing ward boundaries.

The Ordnance Survey large-scale maps show administrative boundaries as at date of publication. Most of the large-scale maps of the Dublin city area have not been revised since before the present ward boundaries were approved in 1954 by the Minister for Local Government. As the demand for maps showing administrative boundaries is negligible, a special revision of maps to indicate changes in this respect would not be warranted.
