Vol. 237 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sligo Speed Limit Sign.

42.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will have the 30 mile speed limit signpost moved back another quarter of a mile at the entrance to Sligo from the Carrowroe direction.

The desirability of altering the 30 miles per hour signs on Pearse Road will be fully considered during the next review of speed limits in County Sligo which will be undertaken in the near future.

Is the Minister aware that representations were made some months ago about this alteration; that the road in question carries very heavy traffic, that it is built up on both sides and that there are families living on both sides?

Yes. It is hoped to have this matter dealt with in the near future in Sligo.
