Vol. 237 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Cottage Repairs.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government the reason for the objection by Kerry County Council to the repair and installation of new windows in the old Stearoe Cottages, Killorglin, as the windows, which are in urgent need of replacement, are made of steel and are in a rusted condition and the tenants cannot keep glass in them.

I am not aware of any objection by Kerry County Council to the execution of this work. I am informed by them that they will consider shortly the question of providing more money during the current financial year for cottage repairs, to enable this and other works to be carried out.
