Vol. 237 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Registered Unemployed.

88.

asked the Minister for Labour the percentage of those at present on the register of the employment exchanges in Dublin who were offered employment since 1st January 1968.

The time and cost involved in compiling information in the form sought in the question would not be justified.

There were 13,398 on the live register in Dublin on 15th November, 1968.

From 1st January, 1968, to that date, 8,777 persons were submitted for vacancies notified to exchanges in Dublin and the total number placed was 3,552.

Has the Minister any indication as to whether the number placed were placed in a permanent or temporary capacity?

That is a separate question.

I have not got that information.
