Vol. 237 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Creamery Milk Supplies.

44.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the number of creamery milk suppliers who between 1st January, 1968 and 1st October, 1968 supplied (a) less than 7,000 gallons and (b) less than 3,500 gallons.

Statistics are not compiled in the form requested by the Deputy but on the basis of a survey carried out in 1966 it is estimated that out of a total of about 115,000 creamery milk suppliers about 90,000 will supply less than 7,000 gallons in the current year and about 65,000 will supply less than 3,500 gallons.
