Vol. 237 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin School.

38.

asked the Minister for Finance whether there are any proposals before his Department for the building of a new national school at Castleknock, County Dublin.

A grant for the erection of a new school has been sanctioned, the working drawings have been approved and the bills of quantities are in hands. It is expected that a contract will be placed within a few months.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary say how long it is since the application first went to the Department?

The Office of Public Works?

Yes. The Department of Education, in the first instance.

I cannot answer for the Department of Education. Let me see, now. The Minister for Education replied on 7th March, 1967, to a question from Deputy Clinton on that subject. I am sure that if the Deputy will refer to the reply of that date he will get the information he wants.
