46.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will state, having regard to the policy of the ESB to supply rural electrification in areas not already supplied and to individual applicants on the basis of a planned programme during the next few years, the list of areas in order of priority which the ESB intend to supply between now and 31st March, 1972, in South Kerry.

I am informed by the ESB that it is estimated that work under the rural electrification planned post-development scheme will be completed in the following board rural areas in South Kerry, and in the following order, by 31st March, 1972:— Killorglin, Glenbeigh, Ballydavid, Ballyferriter, Kilgarvan, Templenoe and Sneem.

47.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power when it is intended to extend the ESB supply to the Kilmore and Piercetown areas in County Wexford.

I am informed by the ESB that Kilmore and Piercetown are in the board's Kilmore rural area and Piercetown rural area, respectively.

The Piercetown rural area has been re-canvassed under the rural electrification post-development scheme and construction work will commence after Christmas.

The Kilmore rural area will be re-canvassed after Christmas and construction work will commence when work in the Piercetown area has been completed.
