Vol. 237 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Directory.

49.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider having the entries in respect of subscribers in Lucan and Rathcoole areas included in the Dublin section of the telephone directory.

As the 1969 telephone directory has already been printed, it is not practicable to make any change in regard to Lucan and Rathcoole subscribers for that issue. This matter will, however, be considered in connection with the production of the 1970 directory.

I am sorry to have to ask the Minister to read the answer again.

I do not blame the Deputy. He is stunned.

The Deputy was roaring.

As the 1969 telephone directory has already been printed, it is not practicable to make any change in regard to Lucan and Rathcoole subscribers for that issue. This matter will, however, be considered in connection with the production of the 1970 directory.

Can the Minister give me an assurance that subscribers in Lucan and Rathcoole will be included in the Dublin area in the 1970 directory?

They will.

Definitely?

Does the Minister know that this applies to people in other areas in County Dublin as well?

We are making changes gradually.
